Rules & Regulations

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These Rules & Regulations explain what's expected of every member of CigarHub — a 21+ social network and marketplace for the cigar community — and what happens when they're broken. They work alongside, and never override, our Terms of Service.

1. Acceptable use

By using CigarHub, you agree not to:

  • Post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, or that exploits or endangers any person.
  • Sell, offer or facilitate the sale of illegal goods, counterfeit products, weapons or illegal drugs.
  • Misrepresent your identity, your business, your products or your affiliation with any brand.
  • Use slurs, hate speech or discriminatory language, in any form, anywhere on the Platform.
  • Use the Platform to send spam or bot-generated activity, or to manipulate metrics, ratings or reviews.

2. Zero-tolerance policy on racism and hate speech

CigarHub operates a zero-tolerance policy on racism, hate speech and racial discrimination. This applies to every part of the Platform without exception — posts, comments, messages, profiles, storefronts, product listings, event listings, usernames, display names, and live audio and video rooms.

Consequence: immediate and permanent termination, without appeal. Full detail is in Terms of Service, Section 3.

Prohibited Usernames and Display Names

These rules apply to usernames and display names everywhere they appear on CigarHub — profiles, posts, comments, and storefront pages.

A username or display name may not:

  • Impersonate CigarHub or its staff — including reserved platform words like "admin", "support", "moderator" or "official".
  • Impersonate a cigar brand, lounge, or public figure.
  • Contain hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory terms of any kind.
  • Reference illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeits, or other illegal activity.
  • Include contact details or external links used for promotion (email addresses, phone numbers, or URLs).
  • Be misleading or duplicate another member's handle.

A prohibited handle may not be created in the first place — our systems check every new or changed username and display name against this policy before saving it. An existing handle may be changed by CigarHub after review if it is later found to match this policy; we will never silently rename, blank, or delete your username or display name without that review.

Real cigar brand owners, lounges, and retailers get a verified handle through our business claim and storefront verification flow — see Claim your business— rather than a personal username matching the brand name.

Enforcement follows the same ladder as every other rule on this page: a warning, then a 7-day suspension, then a 30-day suspension, then permanent termination — with immediate and permanent termination and no appeal for hate speech, slurs, child-exploitation references, and illegal-product promotion. See Section 4 below.

4. Enforcement ladder

Outside of zero-tolerance violations, we use a graduated enforcement ladder:

  • 1st violation: Warning.
  • 2nd violation: 7-day suspension.
  • 3rd violation: 30-day suspension.
  • 4th violation: Permanent termination.

Immediate and permanent termination, with no appeal, applies to hate speech and slurs, any reference to child exploitation, and the promotion of illegal products— regardless of whether it's a first offense.

5. Appeals

Members may appeal a warning, 7-day suspension, or 30-day suspension through our existing appeal process — contact contact@cigarhub.cloud with your account details and the decision you're appealing. Zero-tolerance terminations (Section 2) are final and not subject to appeal.
