You should ask. You have probably been pitched a dozen platforms that promised cigar customers and delivered a login you never used again. So here is the honest case for CigarHub, in four parts.
You get found by people already looking for you
CigarHub members are not a general audience we hope will care about cigars. They are here for one reason. When someone opens CigarHub looking for a lounge tonight, or a shop that carries a particular stick, your storefront is what they find — your hours, your catalog, your events, your room. Not a ten-year-old review page you cannot edit, and not a Facebook page last updated in 2019.
You get a page nobody can take away from you
You already know what happens to cigar businesses online. Ad accounts get flagged. Apps get pulled from the store. Groups get purged overnight with a decade of customers inside them. CigarHub is a web platform, our community rooms are ours outright, and we deliberately do not process cigar payments. That means there is no third party who can decide our industry is too much trouble and shut you off along with us. Your page stays up because we do not need anyone's permission to keep it there.
You get a community, not a listing
Members post what they are smoking, log their humidors, RSVP to events and talk to each other. When someone smokes something of yours, that shows up in front of other cigar people. A directory cannot do that. And the members who join through your own invite link see your events and new arrivals from then on, for free — that list is the real asset, more than the storefront itself.
It costs ninety minutes, then fifteen minutes a week
That is the honest price, and it matters more than the money. Ninety minutes once to set your storefront up properly, then about fifteen minutes a week to keep it alive. If it ever asks more of you than that, you are doing something optional.
And the money, in plain terms
Fifteen dollars a month — and if you join as one of our first hundred businesses, your first six months are free and that rate is locked for life, no matter what the platform charges later. You keep it because of when you joined, not because of what you negotiated. Everyone who joins after spot 500 pays $25.
So you are not being asked to gamble. You get six months to find out whether we send you business, and if it does not work you leave having paid nothing.
What I am not going to tell you
We are early. I would rather say that than have you find out on your own — there are not thousands of businesses on here yet, and I will not quote you a number that flatters us. But being early is the entire point: the businesses who show up now are the ones this community forms around, and the Founding badge on your storefront is permanent. It says you were here before it was obvious.
